Here is the start of something different a US Army Transportation Corps (USATC) S100 Class 0-6-0 Tank locomotive in O-Guage.
The Southern Railway bought 15 S100's (14 for operational use and one for spare parts) and designated them USA Class. Other S100's entered British industrial use with the National Coal Board, Longmore Military Railway, Austin Motor company and others.
The model received already had some progress on the chassis and boiler. The cab is now complete and tank sides fitted.
The chassis has been modified further to increase the spacing between the cylinders to allow for premier components coupling rods that are wider than the etch components.
Bodywork is almost complete, attention to the detailing with pipes, brakes and internal cab fittings.
Next will be the coupling rods and valve gear, prior to a good clean.
