Here is the start of a GWR 4253 Locomotive build from a Warren Shepherd kit. The locomotive will be modelled on the real locomotive currently being restored by the Kent & East Sussex Railway under the ‘4253’ Company. Progress almost complete, body built and chassis running, time To fit some pipes and finer details around the body. Here is a video of the model running in slow motion on our rolling road, it’s a very smooth motion in both directions. Next steps is to strip all of this down, a good clean and then onto the grey primer.

Here we have a battered and brushed BR Standard Class 4, with some damage to the eccentric crank and rod. Further inspection revealed brake rodding damaged both on the loco and tender. Several areas of paint work damage, missing lamp iron on the tender. First things to do is strip the loco down to chassis components and remove the eccentric crank, check to then see the motion running. Also checking the opposite side for any issues.
